Graphics card for PCI Express X1 (not x16) Slot.. and more..?

I am using an intel 915GVWB motherboard...The problem is that it has only 2 pci slots and 1 pci express x1 slot(no PCi express x16 slot).I would like to know which would be a better choice for a graphics card. Should i go with a pci graphics card or a pci express x1 graphics card. I think both are quite rare.I would like to have your suggestions regarding the best card for my system. I would also like to have a graphics card that would support the Upcoming areo graphics of windows vista. Eagerly awaiting your reply.

there is only one pci-ex1 graphic cards available that is made for consuumer use. The Radeon x1300

There is only a ppu (phsics processing unit) card available otherwise that only assists in processing physics calculations. You're pretty much limited with GOOD pci cards.

If you want pci with nVidia get the GeForce 6200 (one of these 2)

A 1x PCI-E card is going to be at least 3x as fast as any PCI card, including the fastest PCI card, which is NOT an FX 5200. This is what I would buy, if I had only a 1x PCI-E slot: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... While it's only half as fast as a $100 16x PCI-E card, it's still much better than any PCI card.

Not worth even thinkig about, if you want amazing graphics,video, get new mother board.

sugest asus 2core, 3800 amd athlon 64bit .

think you would be wasting money with 1x graph card.

the m/boardcost about,鎷?0 chip about鎷?0, if you do this, good pci graphics card is nvidia geforce 7600gt. You will be able to watch full screen vidio with this set up.play any game. Also consider memory at least a gigabit. amd athlon 64 bit is not 2core but will fit a 2 core board. memory is far faster as well.

amd chips are a lot cooler 3800 is very clockable. If u have to upgrade forget pci e x1. PCI E X16 FOR GRPHICS, thats why you cant find a card for x1. use an older card second hand in your pci. Hope this helps think if your wanting to up grade, this is the best route that i can see, forget pci e x1.

from what i have seen vista sucks i have the Betta on a computer checking it out . i don't like it it is slow on any computer i have put it on .i cant see paying the price of what it will be and setting up the hardware to support it. I'm staying with xp pro as long as i can. you should too it may be a good operating system after they get the bugs out ......a year after it comes out like xp. hang on to what you have and see what happends. dont blow your bucks on what may be.
