What kind of graphics card do I need to play COD4 on my pc smoothly?

COD4 will not run on my comp as it is. I updated the drivers. Should I get a graphics card with 256mb ddr3 or 512mb - what will be the difference and will it be a significant one? Could you also recommend some graphics cards off of newegg.com that would suit my needs at a reasonable price. Thanks!

Its an 8600gt card thats for sure good enough to play CoD4 on high settings with high FPS.

If you have more cash to spend and want a better card then I would look into an 8800gtx on newegg however they cost alot more.

The 8600gt card I linked you is great for the price and you also get a free copy of Company of Heroes with it for the hell of it. I currently use two of them for SLI and its amazing.
