Graphics on ps3???

I'm buying the new 80 gig bundle once it comes out. When I played ps3 at the store I couldn't help but notice that the graphics seemed a bit worse then 360.. when will the graphics get better??I was playing madden and the graphics looked pretty bad! do you think it was just the store (connections) or is that how the graphics look?...please answer from ur own experience...don't worry i won't buy a 360 so give me real answers!!.......also is it hard to get used to the ps3 controller...I had the xbox before..

Thats because you have to change the settings for the TV being used. It depends on a few factors. Did the store use a HDTV? Did they have HDMI connector? What settings did they set it at?

PS3 can be set at dif. resolutions, RBG, and Super White.

What you want is 80GB PS3 + HDMI cable + HDTV

and the settings need to be changed to RBG full, Super White to full.

And then there are some other settings too.

Madden is the absolute worst game to play on the PS3. EA messed up that port bad. The PS3 version runs at 30fps, the 360 runs at 60fps. EA games on the PS3 are bad.

Don't worry, a lot of other games are comparable on the two systems. The real area where games shine though are on first party. Even if the game is lacking (like Lair), the visuals are absolutely stunning.

It could have been the store. I know madden was at a slower frame rate though cause the developers said they didn't have that much experience with the ps3. When you actually compare the games side by side though they are very similar. The only difference you might see is certain area's will have lighter or darker shading. I have both systems and got the 360 recently. Always been a Playstation fan. It shouldn't be confusing at all to get used to the buttons. It's basically the same layout. The joystick buttons are closer but the trigger and bumper buttons are the same as L and R buttons on the ps3. Even the A,B,X,Y are the same as the shape buttons on the ps3.

a lot can depend on the store setup but in all honesty i still find the 360 graphics to be better, i own both machines adn i own fifa 08 on both of them i hooked up both machines to hdtv's with hdmi and put fifa in both machines, i was slightly more impressed with the 360 version. the graphics were crisp and had a bit more pop.

thing you have to remember though is that the 360 was out over a year before the ps3 so game makers have had more chance to get to know the system and know how to get the best out of it.

Give it time and when the game makers figure out the ps3 and its real capabilities the graphics and games will get much better!

The graphics on the Ps3 could have looked bad for a number of reasons:

1. The store might not of ahd the ps3 hooked up to a good tv

if the tv did not diplay in 1080i or 1080p that could affect the graphics

2. Because of how the PS3 system operates games are difficlut to make on the ps3 this means multiplatform games might not look as good on the ps3 eventually the game developers will be able to correct this but right now it is still new stuff to them

Graphics on ps3 are really awesome compared to the 360... however all game developers haven't made game that uses the FULL ability of the playstation 3. Not even uncharted and that game looks INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ea sports will later on make their sports games look better for the ps3. they have no idea that these games for ps3 use HDD. (360 uses HDD too but its not as good as the ps3's and some games don't have HDD for 360).

Hmm, Well Madden was made in 720... a lot of games for the PS3 are in 720. Plus it is Madden... you should check out Uncharted: Drake's Fortune or Heavenly Sword or Assassin's Creed... they are BEAUTIFUL.

80 gb ps3 have been having some problems

as well as the lower gb ps3's

best bet and the one that hasnt had any problems since the very beginning are the 60gb PS3's

i suggest you look into buying the 60gb
