I need to know if i need a graphics card with direct x and what does direct x do? All i know about direct x is that it is something about enhancing graphics. So i downloaded direct x. Can i play video game demos like cod4 demo and will it make my graphics better? For some reason i got some demos of games to see if they were cool and then they didnt accept direct x! So i need to know what it is and what it does. and does it give you any viruses? PLEASE I NEED HELP AND I WAS JUST CRYING CAUSE I NEED TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES!!!! AND PLZ LET ME KNOW IF I NEED A GRAPHICS CARD WITH IT PLZ!!!!!

lol, you HAVE got a graphics card and all you need to do is get an update of direct x which comes with any decent game you buy. But if your computer is really old, you are going to have to get a new graphics card (updated) and replace it with your current one. But this probably will slow down your computer.

it may be your computer it might not have a good enough graphics card, its real hard to play games on computers these days with system requirements and stuff. Some computers just arent made to play games on. And yes, you need direct X to play those games. a decent gaming computer might be alotta money too. look at the system requirements on the cod4 box then see what your comp doesnt have and then you might have an idea of whats wrong.
